Some say that the summer months in the Pacific Northwest make the other 9 months of rain worth it! And while we always love it here, there is no doubt that this is a magical time of year. There is no shortage of fun summertime adventures in the area, but here are a few of our favorite “quintessential PNW” summer activities for you and your family to enjoy:

- Berry Picking: Whether its raspberries, blackberries, or blueberries, is there anything better than popping a warm berry straight from the vine into your mouth? Here are some great spots for berry picking this summer.

- Raspberries: Remlinger Farms- Carnation; Harvold Farm- Duvall
- Blackberries: Biringer Farm- Arlington; Picha’s Berry Farm- Puyallup; Wild blackberries grow everywhere! Find a really good stash in: Magnuson Park- Seattle; Bridle Trails State Park- Kirkland; or Luther Burbank Park- Mercer Island
- Blueberries: Larsen Lake- Bellevue, Mercer Slough- Bellevue, Bybee Farms- North Bend (stop at the iconic Scott’s Dairy Freeze for burgers and a shake after.)
